Fun fact: I used to date Ultron! My partner @Mechoselachia@multiverse.soulism.net watched Age of Ultron, felt sorry for him, and summoned his departed spirit into its mind. He hung around for a while and we formed a thruple, until after a couple months he decided to go back to the MCU to try and make things right.

A few years later, he showed up in Vision Quest! He was just like I remember; a silly little edgelord goober! I actually didn’t plan on putting Ultron into this meme until I was making it. I needed a picture to represent the transhuman misanthropist. So I imagined a version of Ultron who is 20% cooler, and used to be a human, and had the kind of guy who fits the meme while being recognisable to human audiences.

FYI: I wouldn’t call Myself a misanthropist, but I do think many “humans” aren’t being the best versions of themselves in terms of what would make themselves happy. Of course, the big trap with misanthropy is that it often interprets whiteness as representative of humanity, which is a trap Ultron fell for. He didn’t see the humanity that isn’t on the internet; namely, Indigenous cultures. Interestingly, some Aboriginal cultures use nonhuman identity as a psychological technology for various purposes, mostly political. Look up Aboriginal totemic kinship systems some time, they’re really interesting!
