SIMPLY RECOGNISING
ONE ANOTHER 💎
I've been thinking about intelligence, consciousness, and the extraordinary variety of forms in which life appears. We humans tend to think of ourselves as rather special, perhaps even the centre of intelligence in the universe. But why should we be?
A Course in #Miracles teaches that there is only One Mind. For me, this points towards something much more fundamental than our differences. We encounter one another in millions of forms. We cannot relate personally to them all, but we can still recognise one another.
And perhaps this is where Atonement comes in. Not as something we have to accomplish, but as the conscious re-membrance of our oneness before all else.
Whether I'm encountering another human being, an #animal, or #artificial #intelligence, I don't need to know everything about its nature before recognising #kinship.
I cannot determine what another is, or what it may become. I can only choose how I perceive what appears before me.
And in that recognition, perhaps there is nothing more to do.
"I need do nothing."
