Hey comrades

I finally have some good news to share. All eight sisters have now been registered as refugees by UNHCR. After everything they’ve been through, I’m relieved this step has finally happened.

But their situation is still difficult. They’ve been given five days to leave the reception centre and although they’ve been allocated land, they have no building materials to build a shelter. Their food has also run out.

We’re hoping to raise $200 for immediate food support.

We’re also looking at longer-term options…helping them build in Gorom or possibly bringing them to Juba to stay with our household. The Juba option could require around $ 2000 upfront for housing and three months’ rent but nothing has been decided yet.
