Next year at FOSDEM 2027, there will be the first AT Protocol Devroom, one of 77 accepted devroom proposals. Thank you to community members @viivi.rocks & @edouard.paris for applying to make this happen, and for managing the Call for Participation (CFP) process for the talks.
If you're planning to attend FOSDEM, you can RSVP for it.
The CFP is open now, closes November 20th, speakers will be notified December 4th, and the schedule will be published December 7th.
There's a full write up on the atproto community forum with all the details. And you can also leave a comment / ask questions there. Likely to be some activity in planning community / social events around FOSDEM too.
Here's the recommendation about talk submissions:
> Because of the large number of new apps developed every month using the protocol, we recommend the lightning slots for talks and presentations on projects you’ve developed, and the longer standard slot for deeper takes on the protocol, its infrastructure, development and surrounding community.
We prioritise talks that have not been previously held or submitted to other conferences, and aim to produce a diverse spread of perspectives. We encourage both first-time speakers and AT Protocol veterans to submit talks.

Round 1 CFP for AtmosphereConf 2027
While we're talking about applying for things, the @atmosphereconf.org 2027 CFP is open now and runs until November 30th, 2026 for round 1. For anyone looking to receive travel support, we encourage you to apply during this first round so we can review and accommodate those requests early!
We've got four broad tracks we're looking to fill, as well as lots of themes within them. IETF127 in San Francisco in 2 weeks
The @ietf.org Meeting #127 takes place in San Francisco Saturday November 14th, to Friday, November 20th. You can RSVP if you'll be around during the week, as well as for the ATP meeting on Wednesday - waivers for no-charge remote participation are easily granted. You can attend the Nov 14th & 15th hackathon in person also at no charge, but you must register.
Ms Boba @essentialrandom.bsky.social will be around with the first AtmosphereConf 2027 / new Goose related stickers. There will likely be some community activities outside of the IETF venue - stay tuned!
