@Mario Vavti Yes, I'm just trying to figure out what's happening. I have not clue how to debug PHP so I add just add loggers in different places to look at the data.

This is mostly me talking to myself, though. Currently I'm under the impression that function pubcrawl_discover_channel_webfinger(&$b) in pubcrawl.php just returns because $protocol is not set.

However, I'm now off to bed. I'll continue this another time.
