Diary of an AuDHD Squirrel. Day 1092 , Saturday 24/10/2026
Saturday started quite early at just gone 7am.
Breakfast & then some basic shores were done before we set off to see my family on the other side of the hills.
The journey was ok until we got across when we got stuck in all kinds of traffic problems & the beginning of Storm Boelo. Basically the weather was uniformly & completely ‘orrible!
The other problem we encountered both on the way out & the way back was drivers who really were not taking the weather into account!
We had a lovely meal (chicken teriyaki sizzler for me & steak & ale pie for Mrs S) then we bought a couple of ginormous pieces of gateaux for our supper.
We went back to my sister’s for tea & biscuits before heading home before the rush.
The journey back was slightly better than the journey there, mostly because there was less traffic for the most part, although it rained cats, dogs, elephants & probably small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri!
Got home in time for an early supper & a watch of the new movie ‘Tenzing’ a really moving movie about the man who joined Edmund Hillary in bring the first to officially conquer Everest. In reading his Wikipedia entry it seems that some liberties were taken with the screen play, I suspect for dramatic purposes, but it is still a good watch & great way to end the day.
Final Thoughts.
Not a bad day, weather not withstanding, although the drive was one of those full on total concentration journeys that will no doubt leave me knackered tomorrow - but that’s fine as it’s Sunday which is normally a very quiet day any way.
We are due some strong winds tomorrow too, a final farewell from Boelo!
Thank you to all those who are helping me on this journey, in a myriad different ways. I am thankful to each & every one of you! 🫂 🫶🐿️🖖
