Hi all. Quick intro: I’ve been into music and audio production since the Commodore 64 days back in the late 1980’s, then moving to Atari ST and Amiga - chiptunes and mod trackers, all the way through to today. Part of that journey, alongside the music production side, has been programming. I’ve been a software developer, engineer and architect for the last 36 years, professionally, and still am. I have developed custom plugins for my music producer friends, and are now polishing some of these up, altering them a bit, and releasing them over @ The Asylum. I’m also thinking about how to help the community with some free / very reasonably priced stuff (I very much have bills to pay as well :) ). Demand for a friendly Linux DAW seems quite high, but I have little experience with Linux programming. Before anyone asks - yes I do use AI to assist with coding - this helps me be hyper productive in the limited free time I love to work on audio plugins/synths etc. It also helps very much with the art and design. I’m a programmer not a painter :) Hope this post is ok - I certainly plan to post more updates etc. soon. Cheers. Simon / The Asylum
