AlsoPaisleyCat@tenforward.socialWOW!!! A cloaking device and it’s hiding something beyond human technology?!!!
Another uncertain ending as we head into the last two episodes of season three.
Join us next week on Saturday, October 24th at 3:00 pm EDT (UTC-4) for our final ***The Ark*** watch/rewatch party.
We’ll be seeing
***S3E11 A Pretty Nasty One***
***S3E12 We Can’t Save Everyone***
————————————————————
There’s been a suggestion that we continue beyond this watch party series for the show on Syfy with some other shows or films related to colony ships / sleeper ships facing disaster. (e.g., Ark II, The Starlost)
Let’s me know if there’s any broader interest please.

I don't want the fun to end. I'd be game for another show after this one.
@Phangurl thanks for letting me know!
Disasters on colonial sleeper ships seems to be it’s very own SciFi subgenre.
Perhaps I will run a poll…
My preference would to be to kick off with a one time joint watch of the movie ***Per Aspera Ad Astra*** (2026) from Mainland China in collaboration with #KungFuSat and #ActionMatinee if their hosts are up for it.
The movie takes place on a colonial sleeper ship which wakes up a sysadmin to check out the AI responsible for the virtual environments of the sleepers. A bit of Star Trek professionalism and holodeck malfunctions, the Matrix, and tributes to old HK action movies mixed in.
It’s a fun ride but only available for streaming on Netflix.

re: starting #TheArk's 3pm ET slot early one time during #KungFuSat (Sats 12-2pm ET) -
a fundamental tenet of our #WatchParty is @MatthewTitus88 & I always select films available WITHOUT a paid service (YT, Tubi, etc.)
You note PER ASPERA AD ASTRA (2026) is only available on Netflix, which neither of us even have, so it's NO for KFS.
I can't speak for @rsmon77 who hosts #ActionMatinee (Sats 2-4pm ET) and chooses his own content, currently THE EXPANSE.
For a taste of the excellent wirefu in ***Ad Aspera Ad Astra*** here are the two leads Dylan Wang Heidi and Victoria Song in a behind the scenes clip.
Dylan Wang is tall. He’s played in NBA Celebrity Basketball games.
