Tchaikovsky : Symphony No.6 ' Pathetic ' 1st movement 00:00 2nd 18:30 3rd 26:15 4th 34:51 Kirill Kondrashin / Moscow Philharmonic orchestra 29/3/1978 Moscow Conservatory Hall live recording I find this performance and recording so intense and magnificent that it leaves me speechless. It is a live recording from a period when he had likely already made up his mind to go into exile. The audio has been restored from tapes kept in the private collection of his son, Pyotr, a sound engineer and cellist.
