I read some protestors are protesting against racism.

There have been counter-protests which have vastly outnumbered the supremacist protest. It’s great to see.

Basically this was triggered by a false rumor that recent child murders were committed by a Muslim immigrant, where in reality they were an unstable 2nd generation (so fully UK born and raised) and from a Christian family. It was basically the tipping point for a lot of pent-up racists. A former MI6 agent has pretty much confirmed this rumor was probably started by a propaganda group, likely Russian.
