mbin uses html date fields almost everywhere, so your browser settings should be able to change that I think

However, my browser's language is set to English (United Kingdom), which normally gives monotonic dates.

Steps to reproduce:

In Chromium, go to chrome://settings/languages.

Under Preferred languages, ensure "English (United Kingdom)" is at the top (position 1) of the list.

Go to this thread.

Hover mouse cursor over my username for 2-3 secs, until overlay appears showing my "cake day".

My "cake day" is shown as 7/23/2026, which is non-monotonic.

  Ok, so the issue is with exactly this field, because it is one that doesn't use the date field
