    Why would we give someone the benefot of the doubt when we could instead label them as an enemy and then feel no remorse when we assume all their traits are negative?

  I’m not trying to make a “did you assume my gender?!” joke, but uh, you actually did assume their gender incorrectly. Which I find a bit ironic.
