Skua@kbin.earth 5 months agoSure, so "following the law" is not a value judgment one way or the other. It depends on whether the law is just. However, the accusation here is that Zelenskyy is a dictator because he banned elections. This is simply untrue; he did not make that decision.

It is not even slightly weird or dictatorial to ban parties that are cooperating with an invading army, and the parties that got banned are not even a majority of the opposition members of the parliament

"Dictators have a done a thing" alone does not make the thing dictatorial, and at no point did I say "dictators never do this, therefore it is not dictatorial". Are you really trying to argue that acting against literal wartime treason makes someone a dictator? If not, you're going to need more of an explanation
