I switched to gog years ago and was happy with it, but switched back to steam because of ease of use on the steam deck. would be really happy to switch back to gog again

Unfideck plugin via Decky can really help with GOG integration on steam deck. You need to grab it on GitHub as it’s not in the decky store

It's a launcher for GOG, EGS, Amazon Prime or whatever the name is these days, and still in beta, Zoom Platform. It has native Linux builds as AppImage, so you can run just by launching with the file, without installing anything.
