China only cares about China, this is not new information. They will play both sides of this situation because they really don’t care unless the one outcome is more likely than the other and they can benefit from it. I don’t personally think there is anything wrong with not caring what happens in foreign wars and still wanting to be highly informed on the ins and outs of the situation. I’m not saying glory to the CCP or rebuild the Soviet empire, just that China will do what it has always done, they play every side for the most beneficial outcome for China.
