mynachmadarch@kbin.social 1 month agoHe didn't actually think it was the most efficient. It's way worse. He knew he could get a proposed high speed rail line killed so it wouldn't cut into his car sales. He did not care one bit what happened after it died. Everything else was his PR team.

The train from LA to Vegas is under construction. The problem in Vegas is that the casinos don’t want you leaving their property unless you’re headed to another property they also own. Musk’s tunnel just goes to the convention center and is obviously not a serious solution.
