randompenguin@dillyofapickle.com 5 days ago@tealk IMO Friendica is overloaded. It has so many "moving parts" it's really hard to redesign it. I mean, we could get rid of that right sidebar. It already disappears on narrower screens. The "Frio" theme doesn't even have it. And/or I could selectively hide things in it to pare it down to something more like Bluesky's right-hand sidebar. I made the drop-down user menu stuck open, I could turn that back into a drop-down and move the left sidebar up.

@randompenguin @tealk this is quite a bit nicer looking then all the other themes I have seen I would say release it and try to get it into peoples hands to get some direct feedback from use!

@tealk Then this theme style wouldn't be for you. Like I said, this takes design cues from Bluesky and Mastodon which both have left and right sidebars. It's a key aspect of the layout, as is the narrower feed.
Thankfully Frio allows you to use other themes/styles/schemes. If this were one of the Big Tech platforms they'd redesign and you'd just have to live with it.
