Maalus@lemmy.world 2 months agoOr worse yet, a shell that doesn’t work. Since sometimes the shells get damaged, so one crab throws away a perfectly good shell, and the one next in line takes it, leaving a crack den filled with thermites behind.

Mehr, “crack den” is a pretty common way of describing a ratty household, which is what OP was alluding to. Thermites on the other hand… Very uncommon.
