Another hallmark of ADHD is their tendancy to hyper focus on something, unable to stop until they are absolutely exhausted. Perhaps the deficiency doesn’t lie with this neural structure itself but with the ability to control it. I wonder if there might be some sort of adjacent process involved in turning it off/on.
