Comment on Scottish gender clinic pauses prescribing puberty blockers to under-18s
Ender2k@kbin.social 7 months agoThat’s the sad thing here—puberty blockers give kids, their families, and their healthcare provider time to figure things out before permanent changes of a dysphoric puberty.
And puberty blockers have been used for decades for cis-kids without any controversy—but for trans kids—apparently that’s a bridge too far.
The Cass report found exactly what it was commissioned to find, and misrepresents the research.
The science is clear, gender-affirming care saves lives.

I’m glad it’s the right decision for them. Transition regret is real though, so ignoring it isn’t good. But even asking questions to educate myself gets me downvoted, so it’s no wonder people don’t want to ask or learn

Knee replacement regret is real and much higher than transition regret. Ban knee replacements!

Nobody is saying to ban it you extremist, why don’t you understand nuance? Are you so one dimensional?

So by your logic, the people who do have regret should be forced to stay in their gender, hide and not be allowed to detransiton. Making you the thing you hate, a transphobe.
