It’s anime like this that remind me of those three questions to ask when doing media criticism:
- What was the creator trying to do?
- Did they achieve it?
- Was it worth doing?
It seems clear to me this anime very vividly (#2) portrays the way that online clout culture trains people to be horrible to each other (#1), but I just… It’s so unpleasant to watch (#3). So good job, I guess, studio Okuruto Noboru - you made a truly repulsive spectacle.
Maybe other people enjoy this? I do not. 2/5
