Comment on what's the simple way to map services to subdomains instead of specifying the port number?

on dbz there is a setting to change your display name. not every instance enabled that option. but it’s how you see people with emojis, punctuation and stuff in their display names. not every client displays it. like some of the android clients don’t show avatars either.
