TheIllustrativeMan@lemmy.world 3 months agoI hate soft close lids because they close too slow. The flush is over before it’s half down, which defeats the whole point of a lid. Sure, I could wait an extra 30 seconds, but at that point why not just do the soft close with my own hand?

I’m not sure about soft close toilet hinges, but, most soft close cabinet hinges have small adjusters that allow to you basically set the speed of the close.
Might be something to look into.
