  I am a big fan of KDE, but having qt’s role in mind I wouldn’t be to sure. I think they already try to endorse tracking there.

    Qt is exactly why I’m so sure. They made sure that there was a legal agreement that Qt would always stay open source or else they’d get the ability to make it available under a BSD license: kde.org/community/whatiskde/kdefreeqtfoundation/

    That’s a project that understands the entanglement and doesn’t allow itself to be taken over.
