I found IRC loses chat flow more easily, as actual chat gets lost in the stream of blabber.

I am intrigued to see how threaded conversations in slack etc al work, but haven’t been at a shop where slack was allowed as a tool due to data sovereignty and the CLOUD act.

But IRC was always something I approached reluctantly, and that’s been 31 years now.
