You know what might be even better? Add a robot with a screen projecting a digital Cave Johnsons face. Similar to how he put Caroline into GLaDOS, it could fit the narrative and if he’s destroyed, another robot body could jump in. It would make for an awesome “climb the tower” sort of fight. They’d just need to record loads of dialog for quips.
