It’s my understanding that every time he appeals his loss to her, he has to put up the money from the previous ruling into an escrow account. So chances are she’s going to get paid.

That's fine, since he'll lose the appeal and have to pay her. I doubt the Supreme Court, as lame as they are now, cares to hear this.
