I lived with a YEC (didn’t know it when we moved in). He was one of the brightest people I’ve ever met, which made it extremely surprising when I learned his views. I wouldn’t share a home with someone I didn’t respect.
I think YECs can be well educated and still live in the dark. You might be projecting.
