Rumors are out that they’re gonna try to enshitify Plex too.
Not saying run away, but maybe keep Jellyfin handy.

I store my media library on a truenas server, all I have to do is boot up a jellyfish VM and point it to the same filepath.
I will be experimenting with it to see which I prefer and so I have a backup if plex goes to shit

Exact same setup. I used to leave the jellyfin container there, but off. Now I leave it on. I just have so many custom tweaks in my music library for id3 tags and things so not really looking forward to that part of the migration. For now I’ve been sorta used ng them interchangeably.

Same but unraid.
Plex is better at figuring out naming issues.
JF lacks a global lookup so you have to sort your own DNS.
But then again, JF doesn’t sell your watching habits

Really as long as plex doesn’t try to crack down on locally hosted media, I’m not worried.
