Capitalism!
It fucking sucks!
I wouldn’t confuse ownership structure with capitalism. You could have capitalism and coops only.
Uhm, they are getting laid off to increase profit margin, or at the very least so that the CEO can say so at the next shareholder meeting. Do not confuse a workplace with ownership, that is capitalism.
They’re getting laid off because there IS NO PROFIT MARGIN.
That depends on the time frame considered. Short term loss is often used as an excuse to lay people off for long time gains.
