my_hat_stinks@programming.dev 10 months agoIs it really, though? Even if karma wasn’t ridiculously easy to get in the first place, Reddit has karma sharing communities for the sole purpose of users and bots upvoting each other to get around karma restrictions.

Yes, it really was. It wasn’t perfect for the reasons you describe, but it certainly was a useful extra tool.
