Firefox Private Browsing is the default browser, so that any app that launches a surprise browser on me gets its information thrown away when the browser is closed.

Firefox for general browsing. It’s sync’d with my laptop and desktop (which is just a really big laptop). It has my Add-Ons installed including uBlock and some other anti-trackers.

I’ve used Firefox/Mozilla for many decades and generally trust the organization.
