520@kbin.social 6 months agoHardware wise? no. There is plenty of prior art for everything that went into iPhone 1.
What they did right was the building of their UI around the touch screen. Gave us more than simple taps to work with. Swiping to see new screens, flicking a list to scroll through it fast, those kinds of things.

Like what? Only thing I can think of is the in-screen fingerprint reader. Touch screens were already popular in Blackberries and Windows Phones at this point.
