I’m sure there is a reason, but if you have a collection of mp3s, why not store them on your phone or stream them from the cloud? Why use an iPod at all?

I just need something that lets me manually sync my music with my iPod on Windows. iTunes has turned into total garbage (it’s apparently been abandoned on macOS altogether) and anytime I want to simply add a song to it it makes me want to punch my screen because of how frustratingly stupid the whole experience is.

I prefer having something locally available that doesn’t depend on a connection to anything. I listen to music while driving and hour-long walks, I don’t want to be using up all my data for something like that, I’m already maxing out my data before the end of each month anyways.

Doesn’t Winamp already do this?

I know it used to. No clue if Apple patched it out in the decade since I’ve tried tho.
