Rhaedas@kbin.social 6 months agoI can understand why. The motivations and message are a bit deeper than WoK. But UC wouldn't have happened (in the same way) without WoK first, since I don't think Kirk had the same hatred towards Klingons before. Distrust sure, but not revenge level hate.
UC also has that connection with one of the best TNG episodes, Yesterday's Enterprise.

Aren't you thinking of The Search for Spock? I don't remember any Klingons at all in ST2. Or do you mean that ST3 wouldn't have happened without ST2?

Lol, yeah, totally right. I guess I strung those two together being they are part of an undeclared trilogy.
