Will there be more updates or DLC down the line or is this most likely it? I really wanna try the game but only once it’s finished or in a good enough state.

There will be updates, but phantom liberty will be the only DLC. As someone who has loved the game since release, I say now is the best time to buy, or wait until the winter steam sale an snag it for $30.
