I have not noticed, and that is a welcomed change for sure.
I am just waiting for an update where there is some sort of temporal/universal-stationary chest where you can hold all of your items and materials through the NG+. Even a weight limited storage on the NG+ ship that follows your character would be cool.

Maybe they could implement a mechanic where the Starborn merchant can hold items for you.
That way, if you want them back, you have to find them.
Would break the lore a bit, but it would be a cool feature. I can’t imagine what it’s like to leave behind your perfect roll legendaries. I know how much time I’ve put into finding the perfect roll, it’s a lot. And I still haven’t found it lmao

Ya, or maybe you transfer only what you are carrying on your person? Anything to be able to keep those legendaries and ammo you find.
If weapons or armor do stay with you it’d be cool to transform them into starborn items, whatever that would mean, whether it be a different skin or some sort of extra attribute or something.
