distantsounds@lemmy.world 1 year agoI cannot find the question you’re asking, but it’s possible that the person purchased the game as a preorder or because the marketing hype. Now you play the games and keep playing expecting the story to improve, maybe the exciting content will be there if you take the time to explore & find it….OH WAIT ITS BEEN 50 HOURS ALREADY and NOTHING IS HAPPENING…idk but sometimes you need to read the whole book before you judge that it was a shit waste of time

I think this is another great point!
The game was lauded as “Bethesda’s New Massive Franchise”, so obviously MANY people got curious. It’s a very valid argument to make that some played far into the game only to think, ‘hey, this isn’t actually as revolutionary as they said/I thought it would be.’
I dont agree it’s a shit waste of time though. At least, it wasn’t for me. I just expected more, and that’s fine given what was promised.
