I don’t think I ever used it once, I’m not even sure of what it is/was exactly and I’ve been on the interwebs since 95.

Video to video chat with strangers, no age verification of any sort other than checkbox, half the videos are literally just sweaty men beating off, and that’s just the “safe” side. The “adult” side, which was directly affiliated with some sketch-ass cam site(s?), was 99% sweaty men beating off.
There was no shortage of entertaining strangers with guitars etc, but you have to wade through the Sea of Cocks with your bare hands, to get to it.
Of course, there’s tons of super young kids on there also.
A bunch of people started using it more after covid, and they all got desensitized to the cocks, and forgot how to human so well, and they are apparently swarming all over the place here. They want thier entertainment and they don’t care what the kids are being exposed to.
There’s several law firms that specialize in claims for victims of abuse on Omegle. It’s a fucking awesome thing that it got shut down. Full stop.

Thanks, I remember when these anonymous video chat sites popped up (I forget the names of the others) and that’s pretty much what they all turned into (dudes beating off).

Chatroulette used to be the safe® alternative and showed that you CAN do a better job of moderating, however, they didn’t have the additional affiliate income omegle had, and I’m not sure if they survived. That one never had the popularity that Omegle had, that I heard of at least.
