I signed up for skiff when looking at providers to move away from Gmail but the one thing that stopped me was they didn’t have a way to export mail. I know it’s on their list but until then I can’t use it.
Their free tier is very generous too. 15GB of storage is the same I get from Proton as a paying user.
And for proton and others all one click
I said export not import.
IMAP is good enough to “export” email. Not that hard tbh.
Normally yes, but Skiff being an “encrypted email” service it doesn’t offer IMAP.

And then never leave them again because all your mail is captive with no way to migrate it.
Encrypting email at rest is a fool’s errand. It doesn’t protect anything, it’s a waste of resources, makes you jump through hoops and use non-standard apps, keeps you captive to their service, but naive people feel good because “encryption”. Also Skiff are blatantly lying when they say it’s “end to end”.
