Comment on Privacy friendly Ubuntu antivirus ?
whale@lemm.ee 1 year agoI wish! Recommending ClamAV to clueless friends/family seems like an okay solution, but then again they tend to not install software at all, and the greatest danger that might befall them is a well crafted phishing ad.

If you think ClamAV on your mom’s laptop on Starbucks WiFi is doing anything useful, but you think fail2 ban isn’t - you’re naive.
On phishing - you’ve got another great example. ublock origin or any other decent adblocker will do WAAAAY more to help than ClamAV.
