subverted_per@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 weeks agoThe rapture as its own idea came around about 1830 in America according to wiki. And is an interpretation of a greek term in 1 thessalonians. But most denominations don’t agree with the theology behind it. Its mostly an evangelical thing.
