The frequent association of myceneans with piracy and raiding seems more jock than nerd to me.

And the hittites often erupted into disruptive bouts of sibling-killing without the adequate succession planning a nerd would have. That’s jock and goth. Plus they literally cursed the city they then made their capital. That’s way goth.
