Adding proxy is a native feature in WhatsApp.

1. Go to Settings > Storage and Data > Proxy.
2. Add 127.0.0.1 in the IP address and add a random port too.
3. When you want to disconnect WhatsApp from the internet, just turn on the proxy. To reconnect back, turn it off.
