All Reddit communities and users have RSS natively, so if someone's on a fediverse platform that allows following users (main one Mastodon, but also Friendica, Mbin, Misskey, etc.) and still wishes to follow some Reddit feed, there's @birb. Bots generated through it don't pull images, only the embedded text and link included in the given feed's posts, so the bots shouldn't be as heavy either.
