We’re also looking at letting those who donate pick custom emojis for the instance, as a little way of saying thank you. If you’re a donator (past or present) then please drop me or Sami a message if you’re interested in this, and we’ll get that in place for you.

The functionality is already built in in to Lemmy - when you type a comment and use the emoji button, we as admins can add customs ones to that list. Currently we haven’t added any, but I thought it would be a fun thing, and a way to say thank you to donators (as there aren’t that many on-site options at the moment!)

Its possible its not a feature that the voyager developers have added yet - most phones will use the standard emoji library.
However the emojis all have “shortcodes”, i.e.
:small airplane:should resolve to 🛩 and you can pick a custom one that will resolve to your emoji.locuester@lemmy.zip 1 year ago
