I think you and I have fundementally different ideas of what is left and what is right. And fair enough, the terms are quite vague. Are we talking socially like with trans people, economically like with communism, both?

In any case, I think of America as center-left, with a lot of political diversity, and dems to the left of that median. Generally speaking of course.

If you were just talking about the people itself and not existing policy, sure, only barely. But you can’t just ignore existing policy.
