Yeah, at some stage you realise all the generic missions have like three floor plans they cycle between and it gets boring.
That being said, I think the Citadel layout in 1 was by far the best. It actually felt like a 3D maze with a seedy underbelly and a rich upper crust, unlike the three halls of 2 and the disjointed sections of 3

1 was definitely heavy asset reuse and clunky mechanics, but it’s part of the charm at that point. I think 2 burned me out because I went overboard on scanning everything which gets really boring really quickly. Then facing more grind in 3 to get to a point where combat is actually fun, wasn’t worth it.
