RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 3 weeks agoTBF it seems most of her history in the US was in entertainment and wearing a skirt made of fake bananas. Not really required learning. Her real activity seems to have taken place in France working with the French Resistance and civil rights, and unfortunately her civil rights work here was overshadowed by MLK.
