Comment on I started playing WH40k Rogue Trader and I'm digging it, but I know virtually nothing of Warhammer. Any super basic world info I should know going in?

I second reading or listening to the Ciaphas Cain books, since they bring that pinch of satire with them.

You also get to explore most races from the 40k universe quite quickly.

    I really enjoyed doing a Cain novel, then a Gaunts Ghosts novel, then a Cain novel and so on.
